Jeff Staley <staleyjl@jps.net>

        Jeffrey L. Staley has been researching the Bowerman family off and on since his early years in graduate school when he had easy access to University of California Berkeley libraries. He earned a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies in 1985 (Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley) and has taught at the University of Portland (OR), the University of Notre Dame, Pacific Lutheran University, and most recently at Seattle University. He has published two books (one that deals some with family history), edited another, written numerous articles and book reveiws on biblical topics for scholarly journals, and reviewed book proposals for publication.
        He is largely responsible for the research on the Staley family that can be found on his cousin's website (http://www.staleyhistory.com/). He has a passion for family history, especially his "Loyalist" roots and Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, with whom a great great uncle rode.
        Jeff grew up on the Navajo Indian Reservation in northeastern Arizona, and lives in Bothell WA with his wife and two children.
