Lon Bowerman earned a Master Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Bridgeport, CT, in 1979, graduating magna cum laude.  Lon retired as Manager of Advance Research and Product Development from a major, US appliance manufacturing company in 1997.  He has received over a dozen patents for his product development work of nearly 40 years in the appliance industry and has authored several national and international compliance standards under the auspices of the American Society of Testing and Materials.  Lon is what you might call a passionate genealogist, dedicated to uncovering the true facts and circumstances surrounding the descendants of  Thomas1 Bowerman.

        Lon is also actively engaged as a member and volunteer “searcher” at the Historical Society of Washington County, VA and has said that if anyone out there needs a tiny “look-up” performed, he just might be able to help. However, he has yet to uncover any Bowerman names in the Society’s extensive library or it’s database of over 600,000 primary subjects.
