Family Bible of
Capt. Joseph Hatch Bowman,
West Falmouth, MA., c. 1880

Description:  This bible was last copyrighted in 1880 and appears to contain original entries.  The Volume is approximately 14" wide, 18" tall, and about 8" thick.  The original cover and backing are still intact, although the spine has been taped.  The pages are yellowed and the laminate is beginning to crumble from the edges.

I have included photos of the cover and title pages so that they can be sourced. All pages containing handwritten records have been preserved photographically and appear here. Also found was an original marriage certificate for Joseph Hatch and Rhoda (Hoxie) Bowman. This page is bound to the bible and signed by the minister.  All entries are in the original hand as compared to handwriting samples of the various people involved.
