Letters of Samuel Hughes
This letter is dated October of 1838, from "Hope"
and On the second page, he included a copy of a
poem he had written "some time ago" entitled "The Spring of the year - or the
Prodigal son returning to his fathers house." The poem is dated April of
1838.
This letter, dated 10th mo 19th 1851, from Newmarket, is of particular interest as it concerns the death of Peter Cronkhite. This one is worthwhile to read folks - the prose is absolutely wonderful.
