Hebron [Maine] February the 19 1837
Dear Sister I take my pen in hand to inform
you of our helth wich is good at presant and the
children too and I hope thes few lines will find
you in joying the same grait blessing I want
to see you and so do the children I have no nues to wr-
ite onley misses perkins is ded and buried [olev tnlds ?]
is a keeping house for him and I suppose you have
heard that wee had been cald to part with our
babe o ruth I cant express my feelings to you
at that time and now I often think on him
and the ours you have held him in your arms
but you never can see him again in this world
but I hope hee is beter off than he could bee
hear I wish to com[fort] my mind and be contented
with my lot ruth you think you meete with
truble now you are so fare from your farther
and mother and all your friends but you have
a hope that you shall see them wonse more but if
tha shold dye you wood have no hopes that you shold
ever se them again I wish you all the cumfort
and happeness that this world can aford you ruth
farther gave mee this paper to write this letter to you
and I thought he would like to see you so I will venter
to send his lov to you ruth farther has ben very

farther and mother have got to be verry oold and will
soon be cald out of time into [eternity] ruth we
must over look all farthers falings and mend

and no dout prosesis that hope that I [fear will]
never shall mother sends her lov to you and ses
she wants to se you verry much her helth is
aboute the same it was when you was hear

irene is now with mother she is a kind dauter
to mother an a sister to me and I lik her verry
much ne hemiah is a good boy and I like him to
you must be a good sister to him and that will
do I supose you wold like to hear from Daniel B

pedles fresh fish and clambs and we bought som and
that is the last I have sean of him but that is something
towards a living and you must by him a [...age]
giv my lov to rosanah and Jonathan I must tell you
that mary [tules] is verri sick and we dont expect
she will liv but a sort time so I remane your
sister untill deth so no more at presant.
