day of the second month in the year one thousand

h]undred ninety I Ecebet Boreman of a Oswago in Batemonds
precinct and
Dutchess
County
being of a disposeing mind and mem:
:mory think
it necessary and do hereby make a distribution of my
outward
estate by will in the following manner, viz. Imprimis it
is my will
and I do hereby order that in the first place that all my
just debts
and funaral expinces be paid in order for wich I do di:
:rect and
impower my executors hereafter named at their discrition
to sell as
much of my stock and furniture as will togather with my
money fully
discharge all my just debts. Imprimis it is my will
that my
beloved wife Jane and all my sons except Timothy

David and
Thomas that the estate be eaquel divided amongst
them except
shuch a part as I shall hereafter mention. Imprimis it is my
will that my
three sons namely Timothy, David and Thomas to be paid five
shillings a
peas each of them and no more. Imprimis it is my will that my
daughter
Elezabeth be paid five pounds good and lawful money for hir
lagasay.
Imprimis it is my will then my daughter Jane b paid paid five
shillings of
good and lawful for hir lagusay Imprimis it is my
will that my
daughter Hanah to be paid five shillings of good and lawful
money for
hir lagasy Imprimis it is my will that my daughter Sarah to
be paid five
pounds of good and lawful money for hir lagasy. Imprimis
it is my
will that my daughter Lydia to be paid five Shillings of good and
lawful money
for hir lagasy. Imprimis it is my will that my daughter phebe
to be paid
five shillings of good and lawful money for hir lagasy. Imprimis
it is my
will that my daughter Mary to be paid five shillings of good and

money for hir lagasy Imprimis it is my will that my daughters’ De:

Amy to be paid five pounds to each of them to be paid in good
[and] lawful
money for their lagasy. Item I do hereby nominate constitute
and appoint
my well beloved sons Ichabod and Jonathan my only and
lawful
executors to this my will and testament certifiing and confirming
this and no
other to be my last will and testament hereby disallowing and
making void
all former wills whatsoever in witness whereof. I have hereunto
set my hand

] Be it remembered that on the first day of march in the year of
[o]ur Lord
one thousand seven hundred and ninety personally appeared
[be]fore me
Gilbert Livingston surrogate of the said county Garrat Burtis of
Beekman town
in said
county
farmer, being of the people called quakers
[ ] his
sollemn affirmation declared that he did see Ichabod Bowreman sign
[an]d seal
the proceeding written instrument, purporting to be the will of
the

the said
Ichabod Bowerman bearing date the fourth day of the second
month (february)
in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety,
heard him
publish and declare the same as and for his last will and
[tes]tament,
that at the time thereof he the said Ichabod Bowerman w[as]
[of] sound
disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge a[nd]
belief of
him the affirmant, and that Josiah Bull Junr, and Daniel Haig[ht]
and the
affirmant severally subscribed the said will, as witness
thereto in

presents shall come or
may concern,
send greeting. Know ye, that at poghkeepsie in Du[tch:]
:ess County
on the first day of March in the year one thousand se[ven]
hundred and
ninety before Gilbert Livingston, Esq. Surrogate of [the?]
said county,
the last will and testament of Ichabod Bowreman d[e:]
:ceased (a
copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved, and is n[ow]
approved and
allowed of by us, and he said deceased having wh[ere]
he lived,
and at the time of his death, goods, chattels, or credits within
this state,
by means whereof the proving and registering the s[aid]
will, and
the granting administration of all and singular the said
goods,
chattels and credits, an also the auditing, allowing and [for]
discharging
the amount thereof, doth belong unto us; the admini:
:stration of
all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the sai[d]
deceased,
and any way concerning his will is granted unto Icha[bod]
Bowreman and
Jonathan Bowreman the executors in the sa[id]
will named
they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to ad[mi:]
:nister the
same, and to make and exhibit a true and perfect In:
:ventory of
all and singular the said goods, chattels and credits, an[d]
also to
render a just and true account thereof when thereunto requi[red.]
In testimony
whereof, we have caused the seal of office of our said
Surrogate to
