the Justices of the Peace for the said County assigned the following persons, to wit; Jonathan Clarke, John Wilkenson, Samuel Curtis, Ebenezer Hills, Jun., Samuel Thompson, Daniel Emigh, Joseph Wilber, John Smith, Samuel Hills, Ichabod Boorman, William Doty & Joseph Doty, Who severally Declared on oath That they were of Opinion that an alteration of the road leading from the Friends Meeting house in N. Oswego Northward to the house of Ichabod Bowerman is necessary and the said road should run through a small part of the Farm now in the Possession of Peter Deyoe, as the same will best commode the public. * * * * * Agreable to which on the seventeenth day of the same Instant I received the following. (viz),

We Jonathan Dennis & Andrew Skidmore, two of the commissioners for Beekman Town being met on said road this sixteenth day of November 1791 and Examined the same are of Opinion that an alteration is necessary, to be made, which we have done in the following Manner; Beginning at a walnut sapling, West of said Old Road in Bowerman's land Thence South to Samuel Hills N. East Corner, running South on the land of Joseph & William Doty, to a chestnut tree Mark'd in the lands of said Samuel Hills, west of said road, continuing South to a large Rock & heap of stones on said rock, being the south East Corner of s Samuel Hills land, thence Running Nearly South east, to a Chestnut Tree marked on said Doty's land, Northeast of said road, thence Continuing the same course to a stake & stones in said Deyo's land, S.W. also of said Road thence South continuing same course to a large rock and heap of stones, thence more easterly to two Chestnut saplings near the land of Peter Deyoe, S. W. of said Road, then continuing same course to a Stake & stones in said Deyoe'sland S.W. of said Road, then nearly South into the old road, as the Road now Runs to the foot of the hill south of the house where Daniel DeLong now lives, leaving the old road at a walnut sapling East of said alteration, Running south to a chestnut sapling Marked thence about S.E. to a walnut sapling, N.E. of said Road, into the Old Road North of the Meeting House, and direct Maurice Pleas, Esq. to record the said road.
