Research Note: Katherine Swift, in her "Swift Family: Historical Notes," claims that William "married Elizabeth Thomson, who was born in 1654. She was the daughter of Lieutenant John Thomson, who married Mary, daughter of Francis Cooke of the Mayflower."
Elizabeth Thomson, b. Barnstable on 28 January 1654, dau. of Lt. John Thomson. She was married in Wyemouth, MA., after 22 September 1687, to Thomas Swift, b. in Dorchester, MA., 30 July 1659. He was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Vose) Swift.
