     Carrie Eva Phinney was born on 12 October 1867 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., MA, USA.1 Carrie is a direct descendant of Mayflower Passenger Thomas Rogers and Stephen Hopkins. She was the daughter of Capt. Albert E. Phinney and Caroline G. Adams. As of 5 August 1886, her married name was Carrie Bowman.
     Carrie Eva, age 18, married Hervey Manton Bowman, age 22, , son of Captain Joseph Hatch Bowman and Rhoda Landers Hoxie, on 5 August 1886 in Falmouth, Barnstable Co., MA, USA.2 In the U.S. Federal Census of 1900, Carrie Eva Bowman, (age 32), b. in MA. (Oct 1867), as a white female, married for 14 years, whose occupation is not listed. She was recorded as being the mother of 5 children, 5 of which were living at that time. Her parents were both b. in MA., and she could read, write and speak English. Appeared in the home of Hervey M. Bowman, as his wife.3
     Carrie Eva Phinney died on 3 September 1939 in Falmouth, Barnstable Co., MA, USA,, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 22 days.4 She was buried on 6 September 1939 at Leslie Youngs Plot (unmarked grave), Old Bourne Cemetery, Bourne, Barnstable Co., MA, USA.
