Herbert Franklin
Boag was born on 27 May 1878 in Near Brownhill, East Gwillimbury Township, Ontario Province, Canada.
Herbert was also known as Frank Boag. He was the son of
David Boag and
Olive Ann Phillips.
Herbert Franklin was employed or working as a a carpenter, who built his home on Hallam St., in Toronto, in 1903. He is also known to have built several houses in the Bloor-Dovercourt district and also the hotel at Presqu-ile Pointe at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Herbert Franklin Boag died on 27 May 1949 in 82 Hallam Street, Toronto, Ontario Province, Canada,, at the age of 71 years of a stroke. The obituary of Herbert Franklin Boag dated 28 May 1949 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, reads:
"Suffering a stroke Thursday, H. Frank Boag, carpenter and builder, died yesterday at his home, 82 Hallam St. [Toronto] It was his 71st birthday and plans had been made for a celebration with a family reunion.
Mr Boag was a pioneer settler in the district. Forty five years ago he built his home on Hallam St, [in 1903] when the neighbourhood was pasture land. He had been a resident of Toronto since boyhood. For many years he had a summer home at Presq-ile Pointe. Mr Boag built a number of houses in the Bloor-Dovercourt district and also the hotel at Presqu-ile Pointe. He was a Progressive Conservative.
He leaves his wife, the former Nancy McCallum; three daughters, Mrs. William E. Wyatt, New York; Mrs John Stephens, and Mrs Harold Tansley, both of Toronto; one sister Mrs George Brooks, and five brothers, Reynolds, Arch, Theo, Leo and Ambrose Boag, all of Toronto.
