This would place George's year of birth at c. 1863, vs. the 1858 year of record in Marion. In the 1920 Census of Wareham, Plymouth, MA., E.D. 14, taken 12 Jan 1920, George is shown as being Head of Household and 63 yrs. This concurs with the Birth record obtained from Marion. Further support comes in the 1910 Census of Wareham, taken 26 Apr 1910, ED 1248, pg. 15A: Again listed as HOH and 52 yrs, which further supports the Marion record of Birth. Checking the 1900 Census of Wareham, taken 9-11 Jun 1900, George is again listed as HOH with age being 41 - thus setting his year of birth at 1859, again proving the Marion Record accurate.2 He was the son of Hannah M. Briggs.1
