     John Phillips purchased "one great lot with a house on that sixteen acres within and without pale, also six acres of meadow, four on this side and two acres on the other side Neponset, and all his commons except that in the neck" from Thomas Hatch on 31 October 1639 at Dorchester, MA, New England.2
