3 Between 1821 and 1831 he lived in New York for the birth of at least the first seven children, and was occupied as a farmer.
James M. Bowerman removed to Erie Co., PA., for the birth of his twin sons Aden and Edwin. Before 1 June 1835 from Quaker Street, NY, USA.
3 James M. Bowerman removed, circa 1838, to Ohio, where his last four children were born, 1838 - 1844. There, he was a contractor and superintendent of the Miami Canal. From Erie Co., PA, USA.
3 He lived in Waterville Township, Lucas Co., OH, USA, in 1850 (see attached census schedule).

James M. Bowerman died on 4 August 1854 in Lucas, OH,, at the age of 55 years, 2 months and 20 days of cholera, as did 6 of his 14 children in the 1854 epidemic.
