After 7 September 1872, Sumner Eli was employed or working as a a building contractor, and for nearly half a century was superintendent of construction in Boston and New York.6 He lived in West Somerville, MA, USA, in 1892. He was a member of The New England Historial and Genealogical Society as an annual member between 1899 and 1929 at Boston, MA, USA.
