• Marriage*: Thomas married Sarah Vincent, daughter of Levi Vincent, circa 1790 in Dutchess Co., NY, USA, and removed to Canada.²
• Marriage*: Thomas, age 32, married Maturah Bull, age 20, , daughter of Josiah Bull , Jr. and Mehetabel Thomas, on 21 April 1793 in Dutchess Co., NY, USA.²
• Marr-Out*: Thomas Bowerman was reported for being married outside the Quaker faith Dutchess Co., NY, USA, before 17 July 1793.²
• Death*: Thomas Bowerman died on 8 August 1810 in Kingston, Canada,, at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 19 days while enroute from Quebec with "ship fever," and was brought home for burial. Thomas was in Quebec to see about a lucrative stave business which he had there, and which his son, Vincent, later had to see about disposing.² [ See A.C. • Appointment*: Thomas Bowerman was appointed on 3 April 1787 at Beekman Precinct, Dutchess Co., NY, New England, as an "Overseer of the Highways."⁵

Before many years, however, they built a large, square two-storey frame house, which was painted white, and was for those days both commodious and palatial [DJB 205]"; Thomas Bowerman had 520 acres under cultivation and was the largest stock owner in Hallowell Township (refer to the assessment rols for 7 Mar 1808 - 6 Mar 1809) circa 1800 from "Tubb's Farm", East Lake Shore, Hallowell Township, Prince Edward Co., Ontario Province, Canada.²
• Committee*: He served on a committee in 1803 in charge of erecting the first West Lake Meeting house. A log building, 21' x 31' was erected on a piece of ground donated by his brothers, Stephen and Judah. It stood on a piece of land known as "Bowerman's Hill" where the old cemetery still remains today in Hallowell Township, Prince Edward Co., Ontario Province, Canada.²

Bowerman, in her "Bowerman Family History," pg. 146, writes: "The Bowermans and Blounts were in sympathy with the Royal cause, but on account of their religious faith, they took no part on the war... That they were held in high esteem by their neighbors in Dutchess County is evidenced by the fact that not only were they not molested during the war, but at the time of their departure for Canada, they were allowed to bring with them their worldly possessions, which inluded cattle and other livestock. In after years different members of these families frequently visitied the old home in Dutchess County, bringing back with them the best strains of horses, cattle, sheep, fowls, etc. They also introduced the finest fruit of that section" [citing DJB 203 citing PLBQ152].
