These links will take you to diagrams of the West Falmouth Friends Cemetery, showing the "basic" locations of the various gravesites. The table has been prepared from data first submitted by Cecilia Bowerman Fuglister to the Bowerman Family Newsletter (articles #62-63). We have recently come into possession of an index that was created based upon the work of this well known Bowerman researcher, and have extrapolated this material into the following "plot maps." Please remember that while the maps are accurate, based on the index, we have found a few minor errors in the index. We are currently reviewing the burial grounds and updating/correcting the data. Pictures of the related "Bowerman" family are currently available and used for data verification by the webmasters. Cecialia Bowerman Fuglister, in her original work, included a great deal of genealogical information, not contained in the original records. We are transcribing this material and as it is completed, each gravesite on the plot map, will have a link to the corresponding data she provided. These pages are large, and will require a few seconds to load, so please be patient! Area 1, The
Old North Section, was the original starting point of the burial grounds. Area 2. The South Section, was the second area used and contains dates of apprx. 1805 to 1963. Prominent names occuring are: Bowerman/Bowman, Landers, Hoxie, Swift and Dillingham. Again, even the oldest stones are in fabulous condition and the grounds are kept nicely. Many of the plots in this area have not been marked by stones, or they are missing, with emphasis on rows 3-9. Area 3, The New North Section, was the third area of use and contains dates of approximately 1846 - 1990. Predominant names in this area include: Bowerman, Wing, Dillingham, Gifford, Hoxie, Moore and Braley. As before, all stones are in good condition and the area is well kept. Area 4, The
West Section, was the 4th and last area in use. It contains several
Bowerman graves of the later generations. Stones are all in VERY good
condition. Webmaster -
